Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)

Engoo is required by law to deduct withholding tax from the service fees of Filipino tutors and remit it to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). Before you can teach for the company, you must first secure your Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN). This article will explain how to get one as a self-employed taxpayer and which documents will suffice as proof of your TIN.

I have no TIN yet.
If it is your first time getting a TIN, please go to your nearest BIR branch and fill out BIR Form 1901 for Self-Employed individuals. Check the BIR website for more information on how to get one.

I already had an existing TIN prior to working at Engoo.
Please secure your government-issued document as proof of your TIN. We accept BIR Forms 1901, 1902, 1904, 1905, and 2303 Certificate of Registration (COR). Other than these forms, we also accept BIR Verification slips with validation stamps, TIN IDs, and e-TIN verification.

The infographic below shows what we need to see in order to accept your TIN proof as valid. You can see samples of other acceptable TIN proofs here.

Once you have your proof of TIN, please submit it to us through this form.
